1、养成早睡早起的习惯

1、控制娱乐时间

利用寒假决胜2012考研英语
中国大学网|总体而言，寒假英语复习的基本目标是：夯实基础。包括以下三个方面：词汇，语法和基础阅读。第一：单词大战
提到背单词，考生最头疼的一件事就是：单词记不住，背了就忘。那么我想告诉大家的是：忘了就背。指望一次性就把单词记住是不现实的。科学证明，同一个单词在不同的地方见到7次，才能彻底把单词记住。所以，考生在第一轮的单词复习中，不要妄想一次性把单词记住，不要盲目追求记得牢固，背单词，贵在重复！第一轮复习单词的目标是尽量在最短的时间内，把考研大纲词汇5500，尤其是真题中出现的高频词汇总体过上一遍。
其次，背单词一定要同时掌握单词的词性，这一点对于考研成败至关重要。在我看来，词性甚至比单词拼写还要重要。很多学生之所以英语学习了多年，仍然学一塌糊涂，就败在这里，因为他们只背单词的意思和拼写，却永远不知道单词该怎么用。历年都有很多考生，在考试前一个月，还搞不清楚某个单词到底是动词还是名词，还是形容词，以至于很多考生上了考场还写出：“we should be confidence”这样的句子。这很可怕，不懂词性，直接影响到的就是理解能力和写作能力。英语是形合的'，也就是说，英语是用句法来组织句子的，试想，一个连词性都不懂的人，怎么能写出正确的英文句子呢？
此外，背单词不要局限于死记硬背，可以利用联想，谐音，象形等多种方法进行记忆。找到自己最适合的方法背单词，才会事半功倍。例如单词“amateur”(业余人士)，可以通过谐音“矮模特”来记忆。
第二：语法攻关
考研英语没有单独设置语法题，但是语法复习不容忽视，因为语法是英语遣词造句的规则，不懂语法，就无法读懂英语的长句，难句。不懂语法，就无法写出标准地道的英文。
但是，考生也要注意，对于考研英语，语法复习不宜像高考那样复习的过细，过全，并且，语法复习的时间跨度不宜太大，寒假期间，可以利用两周以内的时间把语法过一遍，后期如在阅读中再次遇到不懂的语法现象或句子结构，可以翻回头来查阅，复习。只有这样不断的强化，才有可能把考研语法真正驾驭住。
语法的复习重点应该放在考研英语中出现的高频语法，例如，定语从句，同位语从句等从句，倒装句，强调句，形式主语，分词短语做定语，分词短语作状语，独立主格结构，等这些宏观上的语法内容。而不是把a, the 的用法都要从头到尾一个字一个字地读和背诵。
这里有一个秘诀：不要去背诵那些枯燥的语法条文，找一个经典生动的例句，记住即可掌握这类语法现象。例如过去分词做定语的现象，记忆一个句子即可，“The decision made by him is right”(他做出的决定是正确的)。这样，复杂的语法现象就被简单化了。
第三，基础阅读。
“得阅读者得天下”，阅读在考研英语中占据了很大的分值，并且阅读能力直接影响到翻译和写作能力，因此同学们在寒假也应加大功夫训练自己的阅读能力，可以在寒假期间训练自己阅读一些四级水平的文章，培养语感。
提高阅读能力的关键在于学会找到句子的主干，然后按照主干―从属成分的顺序阅读。例如下面句子“However, the conventional view that education should be one of the very highest priorities for promoting rapid economic development in poor countries is wrong”。这句话如果规规矩矩按照原文顺序阅读则很难读懂，如果先找到句子主干，“the conventional view is wrong”，再去阅读同位语从句“that education should be one of the very highest priorities for promoting rapid economic development in poor countries”，就会让这个句子的理解变得非常简单。
争取在进入真题研究阶段之前，培养出良好的语感和阅读习惯，这样才能顺利的进入下一阶段的复习。
